Cemaes Players with Frances Hamer

The Drama Club at HWB Cemaes, "Cemaes Players", is a recently formed drama group who meet on Thursday evenings, 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Cemaes players in run by Frances who has had extensive experience in Amateur Theatre before moving to Anglesey, last year, with her partner and her crazy dog Woody.  Here is what she says:

“Drama has been the best thing I have done as an adult (apart from my kids obviously who have now flown the nest) I have made so many friends and learned new skills and confidence.  When I moved to Anglesey, I wanted to start a local drama group with Kev who I had known from Harlequin Players in Northwich.

Plays I have been involved in include Allo Allo, Peter Pan, Playhouse Creatures, The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary, and more serious plays like the Laramie Project and The Crucible.

We are still in our infancy, but I hope you like what we produce and that you will join us and get involved.

Come Along!  I promise you will have fun... Just look at my "action shots" at the bottom of the page! At the end of the day it’s a friendship group of people with likeminded interests.

See you Soon Frances”

We are excited to be working towards our first performance of ‘Ladies Day’, a comedy written by Amanda Whittington, which we hope to be performing at the beginning of the new year.

We are always welcoming new members and friends.

You can be involved in various ways, including acting, stage, lighting, makeup, front of house etc. Book now and join in!

(Ages 17 and over ONLY)
