The course will teach the following key sewing skills:

· Creating and cutting out a simple pattern

· Hemming

· Binding

· Using batting

· Simple quilting techniques

· Creating tidy corners

 

At the end of the course each participant should have a completed:

A reversible, padded, Christmas placemat, a co-ordinating napkin, and assuming that there is sufficient time, a co-ordinating napkin holder.

 

The course will be delivered in six 2-hour sessions:

- Session 1 – 10:00 to 12:00 Monday 30th October 2023

- Session 2 – 10:00 to 12:00 Monday 6th November 2023

- Session 3 – 10:00 to 12:00 Monday 13th November 2023

- Session 4 – 10:00 to 12:00 Monday 20th November 2023

- Session 5 – 10:00 to 12:00 Monday 27th November 2023

- Session 6 – 10:00 to 12:00 Monday 4th December 2023

 

Cost:

£90.00 Total (Equates to £15.00 per weekly session)

50% of Total, £45.00, deposit to be paid

 

 

IMPORTANT!

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU MEET ALL OF THE

COURSE REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO BOOKING

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Participants will need to have attended the “Getting to Know Your Sewing Machine” Course

OR

Already know how to:

- How to thread your machine and bobbin

- Use different sewing machine feet

- How to change a needle, sewing foot, and thread

- How to set stitch type, length, and tension

Participants are required to bring the following items with them:

- Sewing machine (including power lead and foot pedal)

- The tool kit that came with the machine

- A set of operating instructions

  (You can download them from the internet if you do not have them)

- A pair of scissors

- Cotton/Thread (Christmas colours)

- A bobbin that fits the machine

- Long, glass head, pins

- A note pad and pen

All materials are provided, excluding cotton/thread (available to purchase onsite separately).

50% of total course cost, paid as a deposit, is non-refundable.
